How the app handles your journal and media

Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Dao Journey (also known as 道友日记, with the in-app title 修仙手札) handles information when you use the iOS app. The app currently has no user accounts and does not sync your journal to a cloud account.

Information you choose to provide

Depending on the features you use, the app may handle:

  • Journal text, including text created from speech;
  • Images you select for an entry;
  • Voice recordings you make in the app;
  • Generated reflections, attribute changes, Qi, achievement progress, and entry dates; and
  • Your language and reflection-style preferences.

Please avoid submitting information you do not want processed by the service providers described below. Journal entries and images may contain personal or sensitive details you choose to include.

How information is stored and used

Your saved journal entries, generated reflections, progress, preferences, selected images, and saved audio are stored in the app's local storage on your device. The current app does not provide account-based cloud sync. Device backups may include app data according to your device settings. The app uses locally stored information to display your journal and progress.

When you submit an entry for a cultivation reflection, the entry text, your selected images, and the language and style settings used for the response are sent over HTTPS to the app's backend hosted by DigitalOcean and forwarded to the OpenAI API to generate the response. The backend source code does not write request content to an app database. The backend processes requests to provide the service; operational information may be processed by the hosting and service providers under their own policies.

Voice recording and speech recognition

The app asks for microphone and speech-recognition access only when you use voice features. Speech recognition uses Apple's Speech framework when available; the exact processing path can depend on your device, settings, and Apple's service availability. If the app needs server transcription, the voice recording is sent over HTTPS to the DigitalOcean-hosted backend and forwarded to OpenAI for transcription. The resulting transcript may then be submitted for entry analysis. A saved voice recording is kept in the app's local journal storage.

Service providers

These providers process information as needed to provide their services and under their own terms and privacy practices. Please review their current policies for details about their handling and retention.

Sharing, sale, and advertising

We do not sell your journal entries or use them for advertising. The app has no social posting feature or user account. Content is shared with the service providers above only when needed to provide the features you request, or when required by law.

Retention and your choices

Local journal data remains on your device until you remove the app and its data; device backups may retain a copy according to your device settings. The current app does not have an in-app control to delete individual entries. The app backend does not intentionally save request content in an app database; provider-side processing and retention are governed by the providers' current policies. You can choose not to submit an entry, image, or voice recording for processing.

Security

App-to-backend requests use HTTPS. No internet transmission or local storage method can be guaranteed completely secure, so avoid submitting highly confidential information.

Children's privacy

The app does not ask for a child's name, contact details, or account. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the app, contact us so we can review the request.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The revised date above shows when the policy was last updated. Material changes will be reflected on this page.

本政策说明你使用 iOS App「道友日记」（App 内标题为「修仙手札」）时，应用如何处理信息。目前应用不提供用户账号，也不会将札记同步到云端账号。

你主动提供的信息

根据你使用的功能，应用可能处理以下信息：

  • 札记文字，包括语音转换成的文字；
  • 你为札记选择的图片；
  • 你在 App 中录制的语音；
  • 生成的反馈、属性变化、灵气、成就进度及札记日期；
  • 你选择的语言和反馈风格。

请勿提交你不希望下述服务提供商处理的信息。札记或图片可能包含你自行写入或拍摄的个人或敏感内容。

信息如何保存和使用

已保存的札记、生成的反馈、修炼进度、偏好、所选图片和录音保存在你的设备本地。当前版本不提供账号云同步。设备备份可能会依照你的设备设置包含 App 数据。应用使用本地保存的信息展示札记与修炼进度。

你提交札记获取修仙式反馈时，札记文字、你选择的图片以及用于生成回应的语言和风格设置，会通过 HTTPS 发送到由 DigitalOcean 托管的应用后台，并转交 OpenAI API 生成回应。后台源代码不会将请求内容写入应用数据库。后台会为提供功能而处理请求；托管及服务提供商可能依照各自政策处理运行服务所需的技术信息。

语音录制与识别

只有在使用语音功能时，应用才会请求麦克风和语音识别权限。语音识别使用 Apple Speech 框架；具体处理方式可能取决于设备、设置和 Apple 服务是否可用。如果应用需要由服务器转写，录音会通过 HTTPS 发送到 DigitalOcean 托管的后台，并转交 OpenAI 转写。转写文字之后可能用于分析札记。保存的录音会保留在 App 的本地札记中。

服务提供商

上述服务提供商会在提供相应服务所需范围内处理信息，并依照各自条款与隐私政策进行处理。有关其处理方式和保留期限，请查看提供商当前的政策。

信息分享、出售与广告

我们不会出售札记内容，也不会将其用于广告。当前 App 没有社交发布功能或用户账号。只有在提供你所请求的功能所需时，内容才会发送给上述服务提供商；法律要求时也可能依法披露。

保存期限与选择

本地札记会保留在你的设备上，直到你删除 App 及其数据；设备备份可能会依照你的设备设置保留副本。当前版本没有逐条删除札记的 App 内功能。应用后台不会主动把请求内容保存到应用数据库；服务提供商侧的处理和保留依照其当前政策。你可以选择不提交札记、图片或录音进行处理。

安全

App 与后台之间通过 HTTPS 通信。网络传输或本地存储都无法保证绝对安全，请避免提交高度机密的信息。

儿童隐私

应用不会要求儿童提供姓名、联系方式或账号信息。如果你认为儿童通过 App 提交了个人信息，请联系我们以便核查。

政策变更

当应用或数据处理方式发生变化时，我们可能更新本政策。上方日期代表最近更新日期；重大变更会在此页面公布。
